The lightweight and easy to pack down Meeko insulated skirt is a comfortable warm piece of clothing for any ski expedition or winter camping trip.
Meeko is designed for sub zero conditions and is easy to operate even with chunky mitts. It has a separating zipper on one side so it is very easy to put on even without removing your skis. There is a built-in belt with a buckle for adjusting the waist. A big zippered front pocket provides a place for your mitts or thermos and also serves as a self-stowing pocket. The skirt is lightly shaped to keep warm air inside. In extreme conditions with strong wind you can wear Meeko while hiking or skiing, just open the zipper a little bit to get more room for moving.
The pattern includes sizes XS/S-3XL (on one sheet, no need to assemble).
Recommended fabrics
Main: Lightweigth windproof uncoated polyester or nylon fabricLining: Antistatic polyester lining.
Insulation: Climashield® APEX in desired weight (170–203 g/m2 for winter use).
Zippers: VISLON® 5VS tooth zippers with wide tape.
Thread: #70 polyester thread (Guetermann Mara 70).
The amount of the main fabric is measured tight. If you want to cut your pieces using a less tight set up, take some more fabric.
