The Delft Dress is a unique, fun, and confident beginner-friendly sewing pattern. This pattern has darts, a bias bound rounded square neckline, puff short sleeves, a curved waistband, scalloped gathered skirt tiers, pockets, and a wide hem. Delft is not a form-fitted dress, but is full of generous ease, perfect for twirling.
The curved waistband in back allows for comfort and a loose fit around the waist, and hips. The skirt length falls just below the knee, but can easily be adjusted to suit your preference.
This CONFIDENT BEGINNER sewing pattern has BEGINNER FRIENDLY sewing instructions and illustrations that make construction easy to follow. Beginner Sewists will learn skills such as bias binding, gathering, pockets, and lining up seams.

Bust: 32”(81cm)-60”(150cm)
Waist: 25"(64cm) - 53"(134cm)
Hip: 34"(86cm) - 62"(156cm)

Suitable Fabrics:
Light weight wovens are recommended for this pattern. Structured fabrics, will work the best. Some possible wovens could include cotton poplin, linen, lawn, chambrey, cotton lawn, cotton. Drapey fabrics such as silk, viscose or rayon are also lovely, but may increase the difficulty level to intermediate.
This pattern requires between 4 - 6 yds/meters of woven fabric depending on the size and view you choose.
