The Denham PDF Pattern - Merchant & Mills

$22.00 CAD
Size:
Variant:

Inspired by a vintage Austrian hiking jacket. This neat mid-season piece is perfect for all weathers. A double breasted jacket that can be lined or unlined. It features two flap pockets and a button tab to close the collar.

Denham is more closely fitting than a lot of our other patterns, do carefully check the finished measurements table, and if in doubt size up.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.

Skill level; Intermediate.

This PDF pattern is made up of 3 A0 pages and 53 A4 pages.

Suitable fabrics - dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 8 -12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured jacket.

For linings we'd suggest our barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise - cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.

If you order a paper copy you will be sent a printed version of our pattern. If you select PDF, you are purchasing a digital file which will be stored on your account to be downloaded at any time. PDF's will include a tiled, an A0 copy shop file and your instructions. The tiled file can be used on any home printer and stuck together and is compatible with both A4 and US letter paper. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.

You will need:

Matching thread.

16 x 2cm / 3/4" buttons*

Optional (recommended for most fabric): 0.9M/1YD interfacing.

If making an unlined jacket you will need 0.4M / 1/2YD of lining for the pocket bags.

*Option - 3 smaller buttons can be used on the tab and lapel, in which case you will need: 13 x 2cm / 3/4" and 3 x 1.5cm / 1/2" buttons.
