The MADE-line PANTS are a comfortable and easy pattern perfect for your first project. Featuring a thick high-waisted elastic waistband, anchored, gloriously big inseam pockets, a straight leg, and a wide hem, these pants offer the polished look of tailored trousers with the comfort of pajamas. Perfect for work, time with your kids, or even lounging in bed, these are the ultimate versatile pants.
This BEGINNER level sewing pattern was made specifically for beginner garment sewists. With 3 simple pattern pieces, illustrated instructions, and an additional video tutorial these shorts are achievable for a complete beginner. You will learn how to sew straight lines, sew pockets, insert elastic, and make a double-folded hem. Advanced sewists will appreciate a fun simple project with a big impact to their wardrobes.

Waist: 25"(64cm) - 53"(134cm)
Hip: 34"(86cm) - 62"(156cm)
This pattern was designed with generous ease (it isn't tight fitting), and can be easily sized up or down. Be sure to reference the finished garment measurements to determine your preferred fit. These patterns were drafted for a 5'6"(1.67m) person. It has been drafted with easy-to-alter straight lines, and shorten/lengthen lines to help adjust for length.

Suitable Fabrics:
This pattern is designed for light to mid-weight woven fabrics such as linen or cotton poplin. You can also use heavier-weight fabrics such as denim, canvas, or linen twill, but you should use a lightweight fabric for the pockets and watch the YouTube video about modifications if you do this. Knit fabrics can also work for this pattern, but it is recommended that you watch (https://youtu.be/pwesZz6X-pI?si=BK2Tl5ZLBWTo7ZqF) and adjust the pocket pattern piece to reduce bulk in the waistband.
