Underwear set pattern for girls - Cami, briefs or shorty panty
A cami with thin shoulder straps. High or low rise briefs or shorty.
Several finishes possible: elastic bias binding, fancy picot elastic or ribbing. Ideal to use your jersey scraps. The essential set.

Specificities regarding underwear and swimwear
Underwear and swimwear must be very close to the body (for swimsuit, panties or boxers in particular because they are small parts for which the height is less important than the build and the age of the child ....) it is recommended not to take an age above the real age of the child. For example, as long as a child has not reached 7 years, make small pieces of swimwear and underwear in 6 years. If in doubt, it is better to take the size below than the size above.
Material suggestions:
- Stretchy fabric: thin jersey with or without elastan, pointelle knit, ribbing. COTTON jersey for the inner gusset optional ribbing (in this case allow 35cm of stabilmanche or thin ribbon + 60cm of 5mm wide elastic)
Trims :
- elastic bias binding or picot elastic
- fully voluminous polyester thread (multi-fibers)
- special needle for jersey
- double needle (if you do not have one, it is possible to replace all the points made with a double needle by a zig-zag stitch)
- double training foot for sewing machine (recommended to sew the ribbing)
