- Button closure at the front, drawstring closure at the waist
- Sleeves with wide, sewn-in turn-ups
- Shirt collar and yoked bodice
- Breast pockets with box pleats
- Deep vents at side seams
- Choose a light or medium weight fabric with drape.
Matrials & supplies:
- Fabric: 265 – 370 cm / 3 – 4 yd
- Fusible interfacing: 140 cm / 1½ yd
- Small buttons (diameter approx. 1.2 cm / ½”): 10
- 2 cm / ¾” wide ribbon for drawstring casing: 100 – 140 cm / 1 – 1½ yd
- Cord for drawstring: 140 – 180 cm /1½ – 2 yd
Note that for patterned or napped fabrics the fabric requirement may be higher.
