A Bagru block print horizontal stripe in classic red. Bagru, a small village in Rajasthan, 35 kilometres from Jaipur, is known for its hand block printing utilising traditional processes and natural colours. Bagru prints tend to be more simple with limited colours in comparison to Sanganer block prints which are more colourful with finer detail. Block printing is still practiced by the Chippa community, who have lived here for over 400 years.

Kala cotton is a purely rain fed cotton indigenous to the Kachchh region of India. It is grown in a sustainable way due to the resilient nature of the plant, the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are not needed. It forms a strong and coarse fibre that produces a uniquely textured cloth.
This cloth would make beautiful skirts, dresses, tops, shirts and lightweight trousers. It would also be suitable for curtains or cushions.

- Indian handlooms are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave due to their handmade nature, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws. Marks will wash out, they're usually from the fabric being dried outside, sometimes on the ground!
- For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt.

It is recommended that all of our fabric (except those that have specific care instructions noted in the product description ie. Wool) be washed in cool/cold water, no chlorine bleach or fabric softeners, phosphate free soap, tumble dry low with like colors or to maximize longevity, line dry.
