Getting ready for Halloween
Posted: Oct 21 2016
I can’t believe we’re already in the last weeks of October! Like I said a couple of posts ago, time goes by so very fast. Even more so, the last three months of the year, there’s something particular about them. They seem to go by even faster than the rest! In the blink of an eye, we’re here, and it’s almost November; which means, it’s almost Halloween.
I didn’t use to be a Halloween enthusiast, but now that I have kids, I see this festivity with different eyes. My kids love to dress up, and the candy, of course! I love to sew and DIY projects, so it makes sense that this celebration and my hobbies would go hand in hand. Now I’m just as excited as my kids to enjoy this spooky Halloween!
If you’re like me you’ll be looking for different things and crafts you can make before the date arrives. That’s why we’ve gathered a few things that we think will have you fully ready for Halloween next week!
Just because we’re all grown up doesn’t mean that we can’t take part in the fun of dressing up too! The article below shows you how to create 3 different princess costumes. If you didn’t get the chance to be a princess for a day when you were a kid, is not too late (is never too late to be a princess, to be honest). And the best past is that here in Simplifi, we have a few options that could help you create the costume you want!

Getting ready for the party!
The days are getting colder, so you might opt for an at-home Halloween party. Therefore, you’re probably looking for spooky and delicious snacks to serve. Personally, I'm a fan of Mexican food, so a party is not a party without Guacamole and nachos. It’s the perfect dip for any occasion and the avocado lovely and bright green colour fits the occasion so well!
I’m also a fan of sweet treats, and Fall is certainly one delicious season when it comes to dessert! The cinnamon, pumpkins, and bananas’ fragrance fill the air. So of course, the party has to have something sweet, the kids will be expecting candy, so why not make something delicious for the occasion. That’s why I was very happy when I found this recipe for chocolate cups. Simple and delicious! Just the way I like it.
Now is time to think about the decorations. I love them because they really create a festive environment, and puts my creativity in motion! Nonetheless, I like to see other people’s ideas, because there’re so many things that I would have never thought of that are just fantastic! I hope these few resources help you this Halloween, but more importantly, I hope it serves to make it fun and creative!
