DIY Bath-Bombs with Essential Oils
There is not much better than ending a long day sewing with a nice warm bath! Add in the luxury of some relaxing essential oils, and Epson salts and you are all set to have a relaxing evening to rest for the next day of sewing.
1 cup Baking Soda (preferably aluminum free)
1/2 Citric Acid
1/2 Epson Salt
10-20 drops of Essential Oil (I enjoy lavender before bed for myself and my children)
1 tbsp Coconut Oil or Almond Oil
1 tbsp All Natural Witch Hazel
Mica or Food Colouring
*** I prefer Mica
If you are choosing to do multicoloured bath bombs, it is best to have a separate mixing bowl for each colour.
Stir ingredients together (except mica/food colouring), it is easiest to use your hands, or turn it into a fun craft for the kids! When you can press the mixture together, and it stays compact you are ready to add the mica or colouring.
Separate into separate bowls, add mica or colouring
Begin to place clumps of each colour into moulds, press down when you are happy with the colour arrangement.
Allow drying for 24-48 hours remove from mould, use or store until use!
